                                         CAGED SAFETY

Caged Safety explores the coexistence of protection and restriction. Brutalist forms, brace structures, and accessories in raw hide are used to realise my concept. Two raw materials, rawhide and concrete, represent authenticity and reflect my preference for working with natural materials. Brutalist architecture has inspired the geometric structures and motifs in my collection, a front of strength and confinement. Fluid and draped elements break away from rigidity, with nuances that transition from rigidity to agility, breaking through. The raw hide is familiar but peculiar, emitting an uncanniness. Through these unique elements, peculiarity and unexpectedness are found within subverted conventionality.
